Fall Forecast : Fashion Club is On Point

Hey Club!

Thank you for an overwhelming turnout at our Club Rush last Wednesday, Sept. 22nd. We had over 22 people gathered in Room 111, and were joined by another 10 or so online. Thanks to all of you who made the effort to join up!

Remember though - you must register for Fashion Club through Campus Groups, and club dues of $10 are due by October 8th!! You can find the QR code to join Fashion Club to the left. Please share with friends that might like to join. To pay club dues - please reach out to Ally Halladay, our Club Treasurer no later than next week to make sure we've got you registered.

Please mark your calendars for our next Fashion Club meeting - Wednesday October 20th at 4pm. We will likely hold this as an in-person meeting, but if there are enough of you that prefer to join online, we may go that route. Please let me know. Our Club Officers will meet separately next week Weds October 6th to do some internal planning, and will also be attending SLCC Clubs Conference this Friday at the Taylorsville Campus. 

As for meeting notes from last week's Club Rush / kickoff meeting - here are some of the highlights : 

• Club Officers were confirmed. So glad to welcome our student leaders!
  • Kassandra Ramirez as Club President
  • Pete Benda as Vice President
  • Ally Halladay as Treasurer
  • Melissa Pedersen as our Social Media Guru
     
• We also were able to dicuss a few club goals for the year, and assign project leads to each of these ideas to ensure we see them through : 
  • Pete is taking lead coordination on our first ever SLCC Drag Workshop - slated for late October. Keep posted for details. 
  • Abagayle and Melissa are overseeing a Cosplay Workshop slated for later in the school year.
  • Jens and Brittany are leading the effort on next April's Project Catwalk event. 
  • Julia and Kassandra will be helping me to coordinate our first ever SLCC Clothing Swap for next Spring.
